Personal Culinary Mentoring
Personal guidance for aspiring chefs who want thoughtful perspective and practical direction.
A More Personal Way to Develop Your Brand and Craft
I create mentoring conversations around your experience, ambitions, and current challenges. We can explore technique, menu development, presentation, kitchen decision-making, or the professional habits that support consistent work. Each session is shaped to give you useful insight rather than a one-size-fits-all lesson.
You will have space to talk through your ideas, receive clear feedback, and identify realistic ways to move forward. My role is to challenge your thinking while keeping the conversation constructive, helping you build a stronger understanding of your own style and potential.
Ideal For
Aspiring chefs building professional confidence
Cooks preparing for a new kitchen role
Chefs developing menus or signature dishes
Culinary professionals seeking an experienced perspective
How It Works
Share Your Goals: Tell me what you want to develop or understand more clearly.
Explore Your Work: We discuss your experience, ideas, and specific culinary challenges.
Plan Your Next Steps: You leave with focused feedback and practical areas to work on.

About
I’m Sarah Sanders, a Los Angeles private chef, content creator, and storyteller. After nearly a decade in animation, including work on The Simpsons, I brought my love of art and storytelling into the kitchen. I graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education with highest honors and gained restaurant experience at Otium under Chef Tim Hollingsworth.
Today, my work spans private dining, custom menu development, supper clubs, culinary events, and food content that brings my creativity and signature apron flip to life. Inspired by my father’s Iranian Armenian roots and my mother’s Brazilian upbringing, I create food and experiences that feel personal, thoughtful, and welcoming.
I’m also a C-CAP mentor and judge, developing a food and media communications curriculum, and writing my first cookbook. Whether I’m cooking, teaching, or sharing a story, my philosophy is always the same: people first, then food.
