# Personalized Menu Planning

Custom Menus Made For Your Occasion

Thoughtful recipes and beautifully balanced menus shaped around your taste, guests, and the way you want to gather.

A considered menu begins with understanding how you want the occasion to feel.
A More Personal Way to Plan Your Menu
I use our consultation to learn about your guests, tastes, dietary needs, setting, and the kind of experience you want to create. We can discuss favorite ingredients, dishes you love, foods to avoid, and any inspiration you already have. From there, I shape a menu with a clear sense of flow and purpose.
You receive thoughtful direction without having to manage every culinary detail yourself. Each course is considered as part of the whole, from the opening flavors through the final note, so the finished menu feels balanced, personal, and well suited to your occasion.

## About

I’m Sarah Sanders, a Los Angeles private chef, content creator, and storyteller. After nearly a decade in animation, including work on The Simpsons, I brought my love of art and storytelling into the kitchen. I graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education with highest honors and gained restaurant experience at Otium under Chef Tim Hollingsworth.
Today, my work spans private dining, custom menu development, supper clubs, culinary events, and food content that brings my creativity and signature apron flip to life. Inspired by my father’s Iranian Armenian roots and my mother’s Brazilian upbringing, I create food and experiences that feel personal, thoughtful, and welcoming.
I’m also a C-CAP mentor and judge, developing a food and media communications curriculum, and writing my first cookbook. Whether I’m cooking, teaching, or sharing a story, my philosophy is always the same: people first, then food.

## FAQ

### What does a private chef do?

A private chef plans and prepares meals for a client or group in a private setting. The service can bring restaurant-quality care, thoughtful presentation, and a more personal approach to dining at home or another chosen setting.

### What kinds of occasions can a private chef support?

Private chefs can prepare meals for intimate dinners, celebrations, gatherings, and other occasions where food is central to the experience. They help shape the meal around the setting, the guests, and the feeling the occasion is meant to create.

### Can a private chef accommodate dietary needs?

A professional chef can discuss dietary restrictions, allergies, and preferences as part of planning the menu. Clear communication is important so the chef can make informed choices about ingredients, preparation, and safe service.

### How is a private chef's menu created?

Menus are generally shaped through conversation about the occasion, guest preferences, dietary considerations, and the desired style of dining. A professional chef uses that information to create a cohesive meal with balanced flavors, textures, and presentation.

### Why hire a private chef instead of preparing the meal myself?

A private chef allows guests to enjoy a carefully considered meal while spending more time together and less time managing preparation. Professional guidance can also bring creativity, organization, and confidence to the overall dining experience.
